New York Co-Op Sales Data to Become Public Record

New York City Co-Op sales data will eventually become public record.

Via Curbed: “The State Legislature approved a bill to make all co-op sales in the city public record, and Gov. Pataki is expected to sign it into law.”

That’s great news for Homethinking users in the New York area (myself included), as the form of ownership presented a prickly problem that no technology could solve: what price did Manhattan brokers and agents really get for their homes?

With co-op sales as public record, that will all change. Well done New York!
